Jace LaViolette capped off his senior season by being named the District 19-6A MVP after a terrific season where he helped Tompkins to a district title.
LaViolette had a huge year, hitting .601, with nine doubles, 13 triples and 11 homeruns while driving in 51 and scoring 53 runs.
Cinco Ranch’s Connor Ficarra was named the newcomer of the year in the district after a strong year in which the Cougars finished fifth in district.
Lucas Moore was the first pitcher on the first team, as he had a terrific junior year. The Katy starter threw 74.1 innings with a 1.41 era while striking out 80 with a 10-2-1 record on the season. Moore had one perfect game and five shutouts over the course of his junior season.
The Falcons had seven players named first team all-district to lead the selections, while Cinco Ranch had four, and Katy and Taylor had three.
