This week, 13 Katy ISD student-athletes signed their letters of intent for their respective collegiate athletic programs, committing to universities across the country. These students joined countless others across the country in marking this momentous occasion and taking the next step in their playing careers.

The day included students signings to play at seven different Power Four Conference Colleges in football, with Jordan’s Andrew Marsh signing with the University of Michigan, Jordan’s Chad Gasper signing with the University of Florida, Katy’s Patrick McMath signing with Texas Tech University, Katy’s Byron Nelson signing with the University of North Carolina, Paetow’s Carmello Brooks signing with the University of Houston, Paetow’s Deyjhon Pettaway signing to play at Texas A&M and Mayde Creek’s Tobi Haastrup singing with the University of Oregon.

“Each of these students are taking a major step not just in their athletic career but also in their futures,” said Lance Carter, Katy ISD’s Executive Director of Athletics. “We are so proud of them for what they have accomplished and what they will achieve in this next part of their journey.”
