Posted

Katy’s Cameryn Harrison was named the District 19-6A MVP for the 2022 softball season after a huge sophomore season in which she dominated both on the mound and at the plate.

The sophomore ace helped lead Katy to a district title and a regional semifinal appearance, as a young Tigers squad became one of the best teams in Class 6A Region III.

To go along with Harrison, Katy’s Kailey Wyckoff was named the defensive player of the year for the district in her senior season before joining Fresno State in the fall.

Cinco Ranch’s Amanda Croteau was named the district’s offensive player of the year after leading the Cougars to a regional quarterfinal appearance despite the team finishing fourth in district. Tompkins’ Katy Agiannidis was named the coach of the year in the district after guiding the Falcons to a second place finish in district and Taylor’s Kaelyn Lerma was named the newcomer of the year in the district.

Seven Lake’s Amy Abke was named to the first tam as a pitcher after leading the Spartans to a regional semifinal appearance while Tompkins’ Ashley Martinec was also named a first team pitcher.

Cinco Ranch’s Shelby Hodge, Katy’s Haley Gore, Peyton Watson and Montgomery Henderson, Taylor’s Sophie Jenkins and Katherine Brunner, Tompkins’ Morgan Brown and Seven Lakes’ Dulce Franco and Tauryn Alexander were named first team infielders.

Cinco Ranch’s Madison Rosario, Katy’s Ashtyn Reichardt and Erynne Castillo and Tompkins’ Megan Brown were named first team outfielders, while Mayde Creek’s Isabel Macias and Cinco Ranch’s Krista Burg were named first team utility players.
