House hunting gets heartwarming at Grange where ten model homes and ten adoptable pets will take center stage during the Paws and Porches Home Tour, Sept.1-30.
In partnership with Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP), a nonprofit that shelters, rescues and places homeless animals for adoption with loving families, the Katy community will feature one adoptable dog or cat in each of its 10 model homes. Each stop on the tour will include a large display sharing the featured pet's photo and story, giving visitors an opportunity to discover a potential new home and maybe a new friend.
"Paws and Porches will be a fun way to bring together two things that make a community feel like home," said Amanda Burke, Director of Marketing for Grange. "Guests will be able to tour our gorgeous models and maybe make a difference in the lives of a dog or cat awaiting a loving home, while also having an opportunity to win a prize of their own."
Visitors can pick up a Pawprint Guide and collect a stamp at every model home. Guests who complete the guide will be entered for a chance to win a $500 H-E-B gift card.
The tour will also benefit CAP. For each QR code scanned at a model home, Grange will donate $5 to CAP. A $5 donation will also be made if visitors snap a photo at the Grange Dog House Photo Op and post it with the tag @Grange_TX.
Builders at Grange will host collection boxes for much-needed pet supplies. Suggested items include unopened cans and bags of pet food for puppies, kittens and adult dogs and cats. Hand sanitizer and pill pockets are also needed. Donors are encouraged to select food without artificial dyes.
Realtors who bring clients to Paws and Porches will have an opportunity to win, as well. Each client QR code scanned will earn the Realtor an entry into a drawing for a $200 Taste of Texas gift card.
