Forest Park Southwest Funeral Home and Cemetery has completed its master plan with the opening of a premier funeral home on its 100-acre property in Fort Bend County — creating one of the area’s only full-service memorial campuses, the company announced on April 22.

A recent ribbon cutting with the Fulshear Regional Chamber for Commerce officially marked the opening of the area’s newest funeral home, located at 9040 FM359, Richmond.

Serving families in Katy, Sugar Land, Fulshear, Richmond and Rosenberg, the expanded property now brings together burial options, a modern funeral home and a versatile event center in one convenient, thoughtfully designed location.

The newly opened funeral home features more than 9,000 square feet of flexible space designed to accommodate both traditional funerals and contemporary celebrations of life. The open-concept layout includes a welcoming lobby with a fireplace, spacious reception area, covered outdoor patio, an event/visitation room and a chapel seating up to 190 guests.

The funeral home and the event center are both designed to host community meetings and local events, reinforcing the role of Forest Park Southwest as a gathering space for Fort Bend families, businesses and organizations.

In keeping with the surrounding community, the entire campus was designed with a refined ranch-inspired aesthetic — blending warmth, comfort, the latest in audio-visual and tons of natural lighting -- in both the funeral home and the event center.

Forest Park Southwest serves families of all faiths and cultural traditions, offering personalized services that reflect the diversity and growth of Fort Bend County. For more information, go to www.dignitymemorial.com/funeral-homes/texas/richmond.
