Trever Nehls, who is running to replace his identical twin brother Troy as congressman for Texas District 22, has been named temporary chief of staff for newly-installed Fort Bend County Judge Daniel Wong.
Wong was appointed to the position as an interim replacement for Judge KP George, who was ousted following his conviction on money-laundering charges. Wong is already a contender for the office as the Republican party candidate.
“I’m honored to continue to serve Fort Bend County as transitional Chief of Staff for my friend, Interim Fort Bend County Judge Daniel Wong,” Trever Nehls said in an April 17 post on Facebook. “I want to be clear that my role as transitional Chief of Staff for Judge Wong is temporary. I am still dedicated and working hard to earn every voter’s trust in Texas’s 22nd Congressional District to represent them in the U.S. Congress.”
