The Texas Christian Chamber of Commerce welcomed members of the community to an official kick-off event on May 8 at Katy Gardens, 1040 Schlipf Road in Katy, as the organization celebrated its transformation from its former identity as the Katy Christian Chamber of Commerce to its new role as a state-wide chamber. The chamber will expand its operations to cover the “commerce triangle” encompassing the greater Houston area, the San Antonio-Austin area, and the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
As event host, Raimie Hodges of Edward Jones, the new director for member engagement for the Texas Christian Chamber of Commerce, welcomed attendees – including members of the old Katy Christian Chamber as well as other business leaders.
New officers for the Texas Christian Chamber were announced as:
· Paul Kurt – Chairman of the Board
· Rick Francis – Vice Chairman
· Nick Covanes – Secretary
· Stan Goss – Director of Strategic Programs
· Raimie Hodges – Director of Member Engagement
· Karen Kurt – Director of Resource Development
· Jorge Clemente – Director of Communications & Brand Strategy
