The Seven Lakes and Tompkins girls soccer teams both had their seasons come to an end on Friday night, as both schools terrific years were ended by strong opponents that the two schools in games that went down to the wire.
Seven Lakes fell 1-0 to Ridge Point in a battle that lasted all 80 minutes. The two teams remained scoreless through the first half but Ridge Point was able to take a lead early in the second half before holding on the rest of the way.
Tompkins also fell 1-0, as the Falcons faced Stratford and were unable to get past a tough defense.
Stratford took the lead in the 25th minute of the match, getting a header off a corner, and Tompkins battled offensively but was unable to get the run to tie things.
The two losses bring soccer season to an end on the girls side in Katy ISD in what was another strong year, where two schools made it back to the regional quarterfinals.
