Seven Lakes finished ninth overall in the final update of the school year to the Lone Star Cup standings. Finishing the year with 72 points to lead Katy ISD schools.
The Lone Star Cup recognizes the best schools in sports and competitions among the University Interscholastic League.
Points are given for each schools performance in academic competitions along with baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, team tennis, tennis track & field, volleyball, wrestling and other non-sports competitions.

Seven Lakes earned its most points from the boys soccer team, which made it to the state semifinals and notched 14 points in the competition, while Spartans girls basketball team earned the Spartans 10 points.
Tompkins top points getters were baseball and volleyball, where the Falcons earned eight points apiece. Katy’s top point getting sport was football, which garnered the Tigers 12 points and 10 from baseball and volleyball.
Southlake Carroll took home first place in the Lone Star Cup, tallying 131 points for the year, while The Woodlands came in second with 113 points. Allen, Lake Travis and Westlake rounded out the top five.
