The residents at Pegasus Landing of Katy may have a few bragging rights to carry into next year.

During National Assisted Living Week, residents at the community at 1520 Katy Gap Road in Katy faced off against team members in balloon volleyball and came away with the win. That competition kicked off a week that quickly moved from the court to a petting zoo, karaoke, cornhole and even a culinary trip through the decades.

For one day, residents started with a 1920s inspired breakfast, moved into the 1950s for lunch and finished in the 1970s at dinner. Later in the week, the microphones came out for karaoke and a birthday social.

The Katy seniors enjoyed competing, singing, interacting with animals and celebrating throughout the week.
