Celebrating the March 22 ribbon cutting and brand launch of Adira Clinic (formerly the Pregnancy Help Center) are (left to right) Laura Evans, board secretary; Mickey Rodrigues; Deanne Howell, past board president; Greg Tidmore, board vice president; Executive Director Kelli McAnally; Bruce Palfreyman; Sherri Campbell, board president; Carri Moore; and Marilyn Sartor, board treasurer. The clinic, which assists women through unplanned pregnancies, was founded in 1989 and moved to its current location at 1450 E. Summitry Circle in Katy in 2000, where it has since served over 10,000 women, Development Director Becky Munoz said at the ceremony. “As the world has changed, so do the needs of the women we serve, and we chose a new name that better reflects our identity, faith and mission,” said Kelli McAnally, Executive Director. “Adira” is a Hebrew word meaning “strong,” according to a spokesperson for the organization.
