The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show is preparing for its 81st year with a series of fall events, leading up to the four-week show set for March 24 to April 18, 2027, at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center, 2501 S. Mason in Katy. Every year, riders from across the nation gather at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy to compete in this celebrated tradition.

Known for its rich history, time-honored traditions, equestrian excellence and extraordinary giving, the show is one of the oldest and most prestigious horse shows in the country, Pin Oak is also one of Houston’s unique social and fundraising events. The volunteer-driven organization has maintained its commitment to showcasing world-class equestrian talent while raising millions of dollars for Texas Children’s Hospital since its founding in 1945 by JS Abercrombie, who had the vision to create a world-class horse show to benefit the community.

The organization has since raised millions for the children’s hospital. The annual check presentation to Texas Children's Hospital is scheduled for October 7.

The annual “What to Wear to That Equestrian Affaire” is set for October 15, a signature event brings together an engaged audience for a stylish afternoon celebrating fashion, community, and the charitable mission of the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show.

On October 30, Fall Fest at Texas Children’s Hospital will take place.

The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show also welcomes volunteers and will be holding a volunteer committee meeting on August 27.
