NanoTech to hold event focused on wildfire mitigation

Posted

NanoTech Materials is hosting a community gathering at their facility in Katy focused on the growing threat of wildfires and their impact on both historically fire-prone and newly vulnerable communities. As the United States faces increasing wildfire risks, this event will bring together experts, innovators, and community leaders from all over the nation to explore cutting-edge solutions for fire prevention and protection. With an increased probability of fire across the United States, homeowners, companies, and states are well advised to preempt the danger by treating wood and structures before fires break out.

The event will take place at the NanoTech materials warehouse and manufacturing facility at 21401 Park Row, Suite 360, in Katy on April 3 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event URL is https://shorturl.at/KytRg.

The forum designed to share insights and enhance collective efforts to protect communities and ecosystems; opportunities to network with local officials, fire-wise community leaders, fire marshals, and industry experts; and engage will panel discussions featuring experts in fire defense and prevention, policy, and technology.

There will be a demonstration of NanoTech Materials’ fireproof coating system for materials that provides protection up to 3,272°F (1,800°C) – without harmful VOCs or leaching of hazardous chemicals. The coating can also be used as an additive in paints and polymers, gypsum, plastics, fiberglass, cement, and other construction materials – transforming traditional building materials into a barrier against fire with immediate and continuous protection for 10-15 years.

NanoTech Materials has already contributed to fire protection efforts in California through emergency use approval, such as coating timber lagging along highways in the Sequoia National Forest to help prevent flames from jumping the highway. It has also been used at SpaceX launch areas.
