Milk4Many
Community volunteer Brenda Martin (left) coordinates the “Milk4Many Program” at Katy Elementary, 5726 George Bush Dr., Katy, with the assistance of Katy Mayor Pro Tem Chris Harris (right) Through this initiative, unused/unopened milk from the school cafeteria goes into a cooler (instead of the trash) and is then donated to Katy Christian Ministries. On October 2, with the involvement of school principal Beth Grimet, Harris was able to deliver 27 lbs. of unopened milk/food to the KCM Food Pantry. Over 8,000 lbs of milk, juice and dairy products have been donated in the 2024 calendar year from Katy Elementary students, staff and visitors to Katy Christian Ministries for those in need, Harris said.
