Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital recently opened a brand-new medical plaza dedicated to pediatric and women’s specialty care. The new facility, located at 23964 Katy Freeway in Katy, is adjacent to the Katy hospital.
Services offered within the new plaza include:
· Pediatric primary care and multispecialty care via Children’s Memorial Hermann and UT Physicians
· Advanced outpatient pediatric rehabilitation services through TIRR Memorial Hermann
· Dedicated women’s care services via Women Specialists of Katy
The new plaza also enhances coordinated care with pre-existing services at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital, such as the pediatric emergency room, level III NICU and inpatient care for children and women.
Conditions treated at the center include cancer, developmental delays, dysautonomia, genetic conditions and neurological conditions such as brain injury, spinal cord injury, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and multiple sclerosis.
Infants as young as four weeks old, who are experiencing feeding difficulties are also treated here as soon as they are released from the NICU, said Rehabilitation Manager Richhpal. The TIRR clinic’s seven specialists can treat up to 42 patients per day, he told the Katy Times.
An open house event on April 9 featured tours of the new affiliated clinics in the new Children’s and Women’s Medical Plaza at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital.
