City of Katy Mayor Dusty Thiele is all smiles as he serves up barbecue while acting as the celebrity chef at Brett’s BBQ, 25220 Kingsland, on May 1. A portion of the proceeds from restaurant sales during Thiele’s time behind the counter will be donated to HerWell, a Brookshire-based nonprofit which guides survivors of unhealthy sexual relationships and family violence to break free from the fear of their past and step into healing—mentally, physically, and spiritually -- through personalized 12-month programs.
