Two of Katy’s own are honoring America’s birthday in a unique way – with special beverages created just for the occasion.

In a late May post on Facebook, VFW Post 9182 announced a partnership with No Label Brewery to commemorate America’s 250th birthday while making a real impact for veterans in need.

To celebrate this historic milestone, No Label has created a special America 250 beer, with a portion of the proceeds supporting the VFW, according to the post. “This is more than a beer – it’s an opportunity to honor our nation’s history, strengthen local communities and support veterans and their families,” the VFW said in the post.

No Label, located at 5351 First Street in Katy, is set to expand the initiative through partnerships with other breweries and VFW posts across the state, according to the statement on Facebook.

Nearby, MKT Distillery at 5373 First Street in Katy, has introduced its American Honey Whiskey/250th Anniversary Edition, which is crafted right here in Katy. The special beverage is available while supplies last, according to a mid-June post on the MKT Distillery Facebook page.
