Khristopher (Kris) Fields, the founder and principal officer of the Wise Up to Rise Up ™ Foundation, filed paperwork with the Katy Independent School District on February 14 which will allow him to run as a write-in candidate for the Katy ISD Board of Trustees Position 2, currently held by Lance Redmon.

Fields’ application states that he has lived in Texas for ten years and ten months and has lived in KISD for six months. The Katy Times asked Fields for additional information, including his campaign website or Facebook page, but did not receive a response by press time.

The Wise Up To Rise Up Foundation™ is dedicated to fostering a love for learning and creativity among young people, particularly in underserved areas, focusing on creating vibrant, supportive environments that empower youth to become lifelong learners and positive leaders, according to the organization’s website. The foundation is headquartered in Houston, Manvel, Pearland and Katy.
