Katy Christian Ministries is building a specialized core volunteer team focused exclusively on FRIP processing and donation sorting to support its resale operations and help increase revenue through its recycling program.
“This role is behind-the-scenes, structured, and consistent — perfect for volunteers who enjoy organization, routine, and making a direct impact,” the organization said in a November 4 press release. “Winter donations and large partner drives are arriving soon — having a trained core team will help us move merchandise quickly, stay organized, and support revenue growth.”
KCM needs two to three volunteers weekly who are detail-oriented, reliable and task-focuses, with the ability to lift 20–40 lbs. and work in warehouse conditions. Individuals must make a commitment to training and repeat shifts (not rotating roles). The volunteer opportunity offers a consistent weekly or biweekly schedule. Roles became available on November 8.

KCM also needs volunteers for its next two Community Food Fairs, scheduled for November 15 and November 22.
“These events are essential to ensuring families in our community receive the food and resources they need, and your support makes all the difference,” the November 5 press release said.
If you're able to volunteer for the food fairs, email info@ktcm.org.
