KCM launches annual ‘Turkey for Every Table’ drive

Local nonprofit Katy Christian Ministries has kicked off its annual “Turkey for Every Table” food drive, with the goal of providing 3,000 turkeys or hams to feed local families and veterans in need.

The project is underway now through December 18 under the direction of the organization’s Food Pantry at 3506 Porter Road in Katy.

Donation amounts starting at just $20.00 can feed multiple families, according to the organization’s website.

· One turkey for $20.00

· Two turkeys for $40.00

· Three turkeys for $60.00

· Four turkeys for $80.00

· Five turkeys for $100.00

· Ten turkeys for $200.00

Katy Christian Ministries offers food, financial, health, and other assistance to those in need in the Katy area, and has been fighting poverty, food insecurity, domestic violence, sexual abuse and trafficking since 1984. The organization started as a coalition of area churches.
