Katy ISD Announces 2020-21 Student-Athletes of the Year

Posted

Every school year Katy high school campuses nominate a male and female student-athlete to be considered for the Katy ISD Student-Athlete of the Year award. This year the Katy ISD Athletic Department announced that Bryce Foster from Taylor High School and Ally Batenhorst from Seven Lakes High School took home the awards.

“We have many outstanding athletes in Katy ISD, making this a very difficult process to narrow down to just one male and one female athlete,” said KISD Director of Athletics Debbie Decker.

According to a district report, after one male and one female student are chosen they receive a $2,500 scholarship, donated to Katy ISD by BSN Sports, a uniform distribution company, which they can use to attend the university or college of their choice.

The release said Foster is known for being a hard worker and honest young man. He is an excellent athlete in football and track and field. His many awards and recognitions reflect that.
