The City of Katy has now declared Stage 2 (moderate) drought conditions as hot, dry weather continues in Southeast Texas.
The city asks that residents and businesses take the following actions:

Katy can expect continued hot weather for the next few days. The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon, continuing into the evening.
Conditions Saturday through Wednesday are expected to be hot and dry, with high temperatures in the high 90s and lows in the 70s.
