Doneraki 50th Anniversary

Doneraki Mexican Restaurant, which has been family-owned and operated since 1973, announced its Golden Anniversary on November 27th. In celebration of 50 year of Mexican culinary excellence, the company unveiled its newest location – called “Fuego y Mar” – which just opened in Katy.

Founder Cesar Rodriguez, wife Magdalena Rodriguez, COO daugher Alexandra Rodriguez-Williams, brother Cesar Rodriguez and other family members prepared a “birthday” party and soft-opening celebration event at the new restaurant, located at 24205 Katy Freeway near the Grand Parkway, on November 29th. The evening featured live music and entertainment along with free appetizers.

“We are extremely happy and honored to celebrate 50 years of service and support from our friends, family and Houston’s community,” said founder Rodriguez.

“This is a great opportunity to present our new location in Katy and an extension of our Gulfgate ‘Authentic Mexican Restaurant’ concept with Fuego y Mar,” said Rodriguez-Williams. “Fuego y Mar offers may of our classic dishes as well as new menu items that are sure to become favorites. We’re offering a larger seafood selection, a new dessert bar, a larger bar menu, a larger patio and much, much more. Did I mention firewood-cooked fajitas and Angus beef?”
