Katy Heritage Society awards annual scholarships
Brenda Hunter Martin (left), vice president of the Katy Heritage Society, present a $1,000.00 student scholarship to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Matthews, who accepted the award on behalf of their son Zachary. Zachary Matthews, who is currently enrolled at the University of Texas, was unable to attend the November 6 ceremony held at the Stockdick House. He wrote his winning essay on Katy residents Ray and Jamie Wolman, longtime Katy ISD educators, for whom Wolman Elementary is named.
