Katy Exchange awards profits to three area animal assistance organizations
At the May 17 Katy Exchange market event in the historic town square in Old Katy, members of the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce presented checks for $1000.00 each to three area animal assistance organizations. Pictured left to right are Katy Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Matthew Ferraro, City of Katy City Administrator Byron Hebert, chamber board member Bill Lacy, an unidentified representative from Mutts & Meows, Katy Mayor Dusty Thiele and Katy Mayor Pro Tem Chris Harris. Kneeling: Kaci Maris, City of Katy Tourism & Marketing Event Coordinator. In addition to Mutts & Meows, Special Pals and Cuddle Buddies also received cash awards.
