Katy Cares, Inc. has been awarded the M&A TODAY Global Award 2025 for Best Single Parent Family Support Organization, Dr. Dawid J. Pieterse, the organization’s president, announced in a March email to the Katy Times.

Individuals in the mergers and acquisitions sector (M&A) are chosen by the readership of United Kingdom-based EMG Publishing Group, consisting of over 538,000 across 163 countries. The awards highlight those who set benchmarks in their industries, according to the program website.

Katy Cares is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2016 as a solution-driven response to the Katy community’s most vulnerable population – single-parent families who are victims of trauma due to a life-altering event such as separation, divorce, abuse, intimidation, domestic violence, financial challenge caused by loss of employment, income, child support, and/or a natural disaster.
