Howdy Homemade Ice Cream honors superheroes on National Autism Day
In honor of National Autism Awareness Month, a Houston-based ice cream company hosted a superhero themed event to being Awareness to autism. The event took place on National Superhero Day, April 28 at the Katy location of Howdy Homemade Ice Cream at 20920.Katy Freeway in Katy. Guests dressed up as their favorite superhero to enjoy ice cream, mingle, and discuss goals on how to create initiatives for the autism community. CEO, Roderick Batson (second from right) provided each superhero with a $25 prize. The theme superhero is fitting for Howdy as they address their employees as Heroes. 90% of their staff are those with autism and/or disabilities.
