Hope Impacts, a Katy-based nonprofit which serves the homeless in the greater Katy area, announced April 12 on its Facebook page that is has received a Certificate of Appreciation from the office Constable Terry Allbritton for the charity’s participation in National Crime Victims' Rights Week. The constable’s office serves Harris County Precinct 5, which covers much of the greater Katy region.

“This year's powerful theme, "KINSHIP," reminds us that our shared humanity must be at the center of supporting all survivors and victims of crime,” said an organization spokesperson in the post. “Kinship creates vital connections and improves access to services, rights, and healing. It's the foundation where all victim advocacy begins. Thank you to Constable Allbritton and all our community partners who stand alongside us in this important work. Together, we continue to build a community where every survivor knows they are not alone.”
