Getting to work, school, medical appointments, or other essential services isn't always easy — especially when your trip crosses county lines. The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is conducting its first-ever Regional Bus Transit Study to understand how people travel throughout the 13-county region and where better connections are needed. The study will identify opportunities to improve regional bus service between communities and connect people to jobs, education, healthcare, and other important destinations.
The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Regional Bus Transit Study seeks to evaluate interlocal bus connections across the thirteen-county H-GAC region.
The Core MPO Region includes Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, and Waller counties.
The Extended Region includes Austin, Colorado, Matagorda, Walker, and Wharton counties.
By sharing your experiences, you will help us understand:
· where people travel
· why they travel between counties
· challenges people face when traveling
· whether regional bus service could help meet these needs
This survey should take about five to eight minutes to complete. Take the survey at https://engage.h-gac.com/regional-bus-study?tool=survey_tool#tool_tab.
