The Harris County Attorney's Office has been made aware of a circulating text scam requesting money for unpaid tolls, according to a February 21 release from Mayra D. Hypolite, community outreach coordinator for the office. “The Scam Free page on our website (https://cao.harriscountytx.gov/ScamFree) has more info on ways to protect yourself and file a complaint,” Hypolite’s email said. “If you believe that you owe tolls to the Harris County Toll Road Authority, you can also visit hctra.org, or call (713)701-6000 for assistance.”
