Fort Bend Transit announced on April 23 the official launch of its new alert notification system, Everbridge, FBTAlerts, designed to keep riders instantly informed about important transit updates including weather delays, route closures, and other critical service notifications.
Beginning April 28, transit users are able to sign up for the free Everbridge service and receive real-time alerts directly to their phones. Whether it is a sudden weather-related delay or a last-minute route change, Everbridge ensures riders have the latest information to plan their travels with confidence. Everbridge officially launched on May 5.
“Communication is key when it comes to public transportation,” said Perri D’Armond, Transit Director for Fort Bend Transit. “This system gives us the ability to notify our riders immediately about anything that might impact their commute.”
How to Sign Up: Riders can enroll in the Everbridge system at member.everbridge.net/107856829349914/login. Once signed up, users will begin receiving transit notifications via SMS text or email—whichever they prefer.
Fort Bend Transit encourages all riders to take a moment to register and stay connected. “With Everbridge, your commute just got more reliable,” said a spokesperson for the county.
