Fort Bend County’s Community Development Department (CDD) is launching the 2025–2029 Housing and Community Needs Survey to help shape its five-year Consolidated Plan, county officials announced in a June 6 press release. “This strategic document outlines how federal funds will be allocated to support housing, infrastructure, public services, and programs that serve low- to moderate-income residents and special populations,” the press release said.

Community input is crucial to ensure that the Consolidated Plan accurately reflects the genuine needs of Fort Bend County residents, the release said. Feedback from the survey will guide future investments and help prioritize the services and improvements that matter most.

The survey is open now and will close on Friday, June 13, 2025. The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete and is anonymous and confidential. It is available to all residents of Fort Bend County.

The survey is available online on the Community Development Department website: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FBC2530

County Commissioners are encouraged to share the survey link widely with constituents, neighborhood associations, and community partners to help gather diverse input from across all precincts, county officials said.
