Fort Bend County has officially launched the “Fort Bend Helps” website, a new online resource hub designed to support small business owners by streamlining access to permits, vendor registration, disaster relief, housing programs, and networking opportunities. Launch festivities were held on May 21, led by Fort Bend County Judge KP George, with support from Chief of Staff Shaneka Smith and Community Engagement Specialist Hina Qadri.

The site was created in response to community feedback and aims to eliminate confusion and connect local entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed.

The site includes content on small business, community care, disaster recovery, events, housing and childcare.

The website may be viewed at https://helps.fortbendcountytx.gov.

“Fort Bend Helps reflects the County’s commitment to economic equity, accessibility, and local entrepreneurship,” said a spokesperson for the county in a pre-event press release. “With content tailored to real-world challenges—including permitting, emergency relief, and affordable housing—this platform is designed to empower business owners, reduce barriers, and fuel economic growth.”
