Fort Bend County District Clerk Beverley McGrew Walker announced on June 23 that phase II of the District Clerk’s new, modernized document certification system is now in place, effective June 22. This new phase enhances online service that provides faster, more convenient access to certified court documents while improving transparency and accessibility for the public, attorneys, and litigants, her office said.

The enhanced certification process allows users to obtain certified copies online with just a few clicks, eliminating the need to visit the courthouse or wait for documents to be processed and delivered.

Key features of the new service include:

· Document preview capability – Users may preview case documents of up to 50 pages before purchasing copies.

· Same-day certified copies – Certified documents are available electronically the same day they are purchased.

· Secure access for attorneys and parties – Attorneys and authorized parties may securely log in through the attorney and party portal to purchase eligible unredacted documents.

· Enhanced transparency and accessibility – Users can quickly identify and obtain the documents they need through an efficient online process.

Please note that access to certain case types and documents may be restricted from viewing or purchasing in accordance with applicable laws, court orders, standing orders, confidentiality requirements, or other legal restrictions.

“The launch of Phase II reflects our continued commitment to leveraging technology to improve public service and provide secure, efficient access to court records for all constituents,” said McGrew Walker.
