A former Katy resident, Mark Randall Farqhar Woods, 57, of Pittsburg, Texas, was tragically killed in a single vehicle motorcycle accident in Camp County, Texas, on Saturday, March 21. The driver was not wearing a helmet and apparently lost control and crashed.

Woods was the foster son of Terry A. Woods of Cibolo, Texas, a former long-time Katy resident. He graduated from Katy High school in the Class of 1986 and attended Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) for one year. He worked in the electronics repair industry.

Woods had dropped the Woods surname in his adult years and is survived by his wife of 29 years, Wendi Bland Farqhar, and two adult sons. The couple would have celebrated their Thirtieth Anniversary on March 30.
