Nonprofit Eyes on Me recently held its graduation ceremonies at The Hangar for its spring trade skills program, with 53 youths and one adult completing the course. Students were taught general construction, plumbing and electrical throughout the semester. “In addition, 11 of our students heard the gospel of Jesus and professed their faith to Him in one of our sessions,” Executive Director Dennis Turnipseed told the Katy Times. The Hangar Unity Center, located at 4010 Fourth Street in Brookshire, serves the Brookshire area with regular food donations, fitness programs, and more, in addition to the trades skills program.
