With summer in full swing, Katy-area residents are looking for ways to stay active indoors—and an exciting new fitness experience is coming to town.
DeerRun, a leading smart fitness brand, is officially celebrating launch of their new Apex series of smart home treadmills and the grand opening of its brand-new flagship store at 811 S. Mason in Katy.
DeerRun hosted a “One More Match” Grand Opening Challenge and store opening party on July 1 – not a typical ribbon cutting but a fully gamified, interactive experience where local residents could walk in, compete, and win premium home fitness equipment:
· The 500m "Race to Win" challenge: Visitors tested their speed in a 500-meter Treadmill Time Challenge. The top three fastest runners each day instantly won a free DeerRun Q2 Urban Walkingpad.
· The hourly “Lucky Draw:” Every single person who attended could enter to win one of 50 walking pads being given away, with winners announced at the top of each hour.
· Viral social orizes: Visitors who shared their experience on social media were entered to win additional free treadmills based on community engagement.
