The City of Katy’s city council met briefly on July 13 with a short meeting agenda.
Council voted unanimously to approve the addition of two additional cadets for the Katy Police Department in fiscal year 2025-2026. Plans for the two new positions, including duties and assignments as well as possible start dates, were not immediately available.
A resolution award at $548,985.00 bit for two FY 2026 projects was awarded to Environmental Allies, Inc., of Houston in a unanimous action by council. The projects will install asphalt on East Fourth Street and Airline Drive, according to agenda documents. The resolution also covers a water line extension project on East Third Street.
A street striping project was also unanimously approved for $64,654.00.
The next meeting of city council will be July 27 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 901 Avenue C in Katy.
