The story should have read: “Kasper also said that the water from this project is cheaper, at $1.68 per thousand gallons compared to $5.00 per thousand gallons for potable water.” The price is per thousand gallons, not per gallon as stated in the print edition of the story. The online version of the story has been updated. The Times regrets the error.
