Nayden Ramirez got the Tigers on the board in the top of the first when he drove in a run on a single, but Cinco answered right back in the bottom of the inning, taking the lead after a steal of home by Brock DeYoung and an RBI single from Logan Sosolik.
But those would be the only runs Cinco scored all day, and Katy retook the lead in the third inning when Graham Laxton drove in three runs with a triple. Larsen made it 4-1 in the fifth with another RBI single and Hunter Ham drove in a run in the fifth on a single for Taylor’s fifth run. Cole Keppler got a run across on a double play in the fifth inning for Jordan, but the Warriors couldn’t muster anything else as Taylor went on to clinch the win.
