The eighth annual Katy Taste Fest returns to Typhoon Texas, 555 Katy Fort Bend Road in Katy, on Saturday, February 28, from 12 to 3 p.m., welcoming more than 1,500 attendees to Katy’s premier family-friendly food festival.

Guests will enjoy tastings from 30+ Katy-area restaurants featuring a variety of cuisines, along with live cooking demonstrations, a kids’ zone, adult beverages, the “Best of Fest” competition, and a new farmer’s market experience showcasing local vendors and artisans. Kids enter free with every adult ticket purchased.

The weekend kicks off Friday night with the Tacos & Tequila Foodie Awards on February 27 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Typhoon Texas. This 21+ VIP event features tacos and tequila tastings, live sax entertainment, the presentation of the Katy Foodie Award winners, and Singo Bingo with chances to win prizes, creating a high-energy and interactive start to the weekend.

To date, Katy Taste Fest has raised $150,000+ for organizations serving vulnerable children and families, with 100 percent of net proceeds benefiting local non-profits.
