“I felt like, I really like this spot and I can get this over with and look forward to college while being able to focus on my team,” Rutherford said. “Now I don’t have to worry about anything. I just can go out there, perform the best I can and help my team win. This team is my brothers and I want to be here with them fully." more

Overall there will be 48 teams competing in the tournament, with more than 30 of them making the playoffs last season. The tournament will take place from Thursday through Saturday at Katy ISD and Cy-Fair ISD schools. more

“We’ve all been putting in work and now we finally are to where we have to be even better now,” Davis said. “We have to make sure we focus on the day in front of us and not look ahead, work as hard as we can and listen to the coaches. If we do that, we are going to really get better.” more
