The Tompkins boys team and the Jordan girls team finished with golds on Saturday at the District 19-6A meet, finishing as top dogs in the district and advancing a number of athletes to regionals. more
“The best thing about him is how composed he is and it just is great for the rest of our guys,” Sanders said. “He’ll miss five in a row and it will look like he’s just made five. He never loses confidence in himself and that confidence goes through the whole team. more
“Our slogan is to go out and play fast and furious,” said sophomore guard Scottie Guillory. “That all we were doing. Got up and down the court, pressured them on defense and did whatever we could to keep this game fast. That’s just how we want to play, and it makes teams uncomfortable.” more

Five Tompkins players were named to the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association All-State team on Friday, as the accolades continued pouring in for the Falcons after they reached the Class 6A state final this season. more
