The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce and the Katy Business Association announced on March 12th the inaugural Women of Katy Symposium, scheduled for March 28th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Alamo Drafthouse in LaCenterra, 2707 Commercial Center Blvd, in Katy. This event, open to the public, aims to empower female industry and community leaders, women business owners, and members of the Katy community, said a joint press release from the two organizations.

The Women of Katy Symposium is designed to provide tangible resources that attendees can immediately implement in their careers, businesses, and personal lives. With a diverse range of session topics including navigating chaos to calm, accessing capital, enhancing digital presence, and advancing careers or businesses, participants will gain valuable insights and actionable strategies.

"We are thrilled to host the Women of Katy Symposium, a platform dedicated to empowering and equipping women with the tools they need to succeed," said Stacy Jacobs, Vice President for Business Development of the Katy Area Chamber. "This event underscores our commitment to fostering a supportive environment for female professionals and entrepreneurs in our community."

Attendees can expect a dynamic program featuring networking opportunities, access to business resources, engaging panel discussions, and a catered lunch. Registration is required for attendance, and tickets can be purchased through the event website at womenofkaty.com.

The two organizations collaborated last fall to host their first “Women of Katy” event which featured a panel of entrepreneurs who shared their advice and experiences. The 2023 event, which sold out, was held at Perry’s in LaCenterra.
