The Walmart at 1313 N Fry Rd. in Katy held a “re-grand opening" on May 3 to show off its new format. The newly renovated store now offers a state-of-the-art vision center and updated online, pickup and delivery section. Guests will now also find an expanded selection of apparel options that now include popular brands like Nike, Reebok and U.S. Polo. Additional store upgrades include:
· Open, customer-centric floor plan
· New front-end grab and go section
· Upgraded signage and video signage throughout the store
· Enhanced store mannequins and furniture displays
· Additional check-out lanes
During the ceremony, a celebratory ribbon-cutting and community event took place, and also included the presentation of $12,000 in grants to community organizations, including:
· Back the Blue: $3,000
· Terachyi Foundation: $3,000
· Amazing Soldiers: $3,000
· Tcam Outreach: $3,000
Additionally, Walmart managers honored over 62 store employees who had been at the store for more than 20 years, including three who had been there for over 30 years.
