Katy ISD students earned three national championships and multiple Top 10 finishes at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference, showcasing the district's commitment to preparing students for success in business, leadership and entrepreneurship.

Jordan High School's Lucas Weatherwax captured the national title in Agribusiness, while Seven Lakes High School students Amisha Agrawal and Advik Katole won the Business Ethics competition. Cinco Ranch High School student Anika Das also claimed a national championship in Introduction to Marketing Concepts. Jordan High School also recorded nine Top 10 finishes, the most of any Texas FBLA chapter.

Held in San Antonio, the conference brought together more than 13,400 students from nearly 2,100 schools across 47 states, territories and Canada to compete in 108 business-related events.

"Our students continue to demonstrate that hard work, innovation and leadership extend far beyond the classroom," Katy ISD Director of Career and Technical Education Nick Gonzales said. "Winning on the national stage reflects the dedication of our students, teachers and advisors, and reinforces Katy ISD's commitment to providing meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for college, careers and life."

In addition to the national championships, Jordan High School's nine Top 10 finishes highlighted the strength of the district's Career and Technical Education programs and its continued success at the national level.

The Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference provides students with opportunities to compete in business-focused events while developing leadership skills, networking with peers from across North America and exploring future career pathways.
