Tompkins High School student journalists have earned national recognition, Katy ISD announced on September 30 on the district’s Facebook page. Both The Talon yearbook and The Nest news magazine received Gold Medal rankings from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, one of the nation’s most respected scholastic press groups, the post said.
“This honor reflects excellence in writing, photography, design, editing and overall journalistic quality,” the post said. “The Talon and The Nest showcase the talent and dedication of Tompkins students whose work meets the highest standards of scholastic journalism.”
