Both the Tompkins boys and girls cross country teams finished in the top 12 at Friday’s Class 6A state cross country meet, bringing a positive end to the Falcons seasons with a good performance in Round Rock.
The Tompkins girls finished in 12th place as a team, Rowan Saacke led the team by getting 19th place overall, with a time of 18 minutes, 48.90 seconds, Courtney Richman finished 58th with a time of 19 minutes, 46.50 seconds, Mary Alice Sheley finished 84th with a time of 20 minutes, 9.70 seconds, Sophia Ramshaw finished 132nd with a time of 21 minutes, 16.20 seconds, Madeline Bartlett finished 134th with a time of 21 minutes, 18.30 seconds, Jordan Musselman finished 139th with a time of 21 minutes, 26.50 seconds and Meghan Carlson finished 145th with a time of 21 minutes, 40.50 seconds.
Mayde Creek had three finishers in the state meet, with Rachel Solano taking 72nd with a time of 20 minutes, 1.10 seconds, Jamie Klander finished 81st with a time of 20 minutes, 7.70 seconds and Claudia Klander finished 86th with a time of 20 minutes, 13.50 seconds. Cinco Ranch had one individual finisher in Kirsten Thomas, who finished 76th with a time of 20 minutes, 3.70 seconds.
On the boys side, Tompkins finished 11th overall as a team. Mathias Pitzel led the Falcons by finishing 64th overall with a time of 16 minutes, 42.20 seconds, Parker Wood finished 70th overall with a time of 16 minutes, 44.60 seconds, Austin Garcia came in 73rd with a time of 16 minutes, 48.60 seconds, Aiden Ramshaw finished 81st with a time of 16 minutes, 53.40 seconds, Juan Perez-Salas finished 111th with a time of 17 minutes, 20.50 seconds, Aaron Ramshaw finished 113th with a time of 17 minutes, 24.80 seconds and Diego finished 128th with a time of 17 minutes, 47.50 seconds.
Cinco Ranch finished 15th as a team, with Adrian Hahn Vadstein being the Cougars top finisher, Adam Elbanna finished 89th overall with a time of 16 minutes, 59.80 seconds, Alex Hahn Vadstein finished 90th overall with a time of 17 minutes, 2.90 seconds, Ryan Du Plessis finished 132nd with a time of 17 minutes, with a time of 17 minutes, 51.90 seconds, Henry Ebben came in 134th with a time of 17 minutes, 57.10 seconds, Killan Drouaud came in 137th with a time of 18 minutes and Clarance Walker finished 138th with a time of 18 minutes, 3.60 seconds.
Seven Lakes’ Matthew Montgomery was the top boys Katy ISD finisher, coming in 24th with a time of 16 minutes, 16.70 seconds and Reese Sullivan came in 39th with a time of 16 minutes, 26.40 seconds.
