The Katy High School Tigers met the Atascocita Eagles in a three-game series last week as the high school baseball playoffs continued.
After losing by a score of 2 to 3 on Friday, May 15, the Tigers won 2-1 on Saturday, May 16, forcing a third game on Saturday, May 17. But Katy was unable to score, walking away with a 0-7 loss, dashing their hopes of further advancement in the UIL 6A playoffs. It was the Tigers’ largest loss since the end of February and dropped their record down to 28-10.
The Tigers end the season ranked number 14 in the Houston area, number 82 in Texas, number 30 in UIL 6A and number 29 in Region III.
