The Katy High School softball team ended their playoff run on May 10 with a 5-7 loss to Clear Springs, dashing hopes of further advance in the playoffs.
On their home field on May 2, the Katy Tigers softball team defeated CyFair High school to become the area champs in the UIL 6A Softball Area Playoffs. Katy won that game 9-0.
The team had a16-0 run in district play and an overall record of 34-1. The Tigers dominated the season and earned recognition as one of the top-ranked teams in both Texas and the nation.
“We’re proud of their hard work, discipline and teamwork this season,” said a May 10 post on the Katy ISD Facebook page.
